I’m bewildered. Bewildered? I think the more appropriate word is baffled. I am baffled by the odd human condition of caring about other people’s shit. What I am referring to is the activity of in your face loud activism like “smoking is bad for you”.
Are you aware that smokers are among the best educated when it comes to the negative side effects of their habit? It’s right there on the box, if you smoke these you will die. Yup, all of your jumping and hollering only makes them light up another.
But the question I’m really getting at is the bigger one. Why do people feel the need to get involved in the business of other people? Who cares if someone smokes, it’s not your lungs. You might say, but it’s my air. Well that was a valid point before smoking was banned from bars, restaurants, etc. Smoking is no longer allowed to pollute the air that you share.
Let’s move along. My question branches into pro-Life and same sex marriage. I’m curious where the double standard division begins. One might not want the government to stipulate their rights to bear arms but on the other hand even though it’s not their child they want to tell someone that they must have it. Yup, I went there, I called it an it.
So why does anyone care what a couple decides? If two human beings are in love does it matter that they are both men or women? Seems sort of antiquated to me. Please chime in if you have an opinion. I have an open mind and I ask these questions because I genuinely don’t understand.
